Why was Lebron James so passive when he knew so much was at stake?

Lebron knew that he would basically be the laughingstock of the sports world for another year if he didn't win a championship. Yet he played with no intensity and no aggression. He only attempted 15 shots in game 6. (shot over 50%). Lebron didn't play like he wanted that championship.
